Online marketplace ebay has launched a dedicated department to sell certified refurbished products ranging from consumer technology to sporting goods.
Consumers motivated by lower prices and a more sustainable approach to shopping, can enjoy discounts of up to 30% on leading brands such as Apple, Dell, Dyson and Flymo. All products available through the platform are manufacturer approved and come with a 12 month seller guarantee.
The UK refurbished market has seen a number of new online marketplaces and sellers, specialising in smartphones, cars and laptops. Coupled with a growing demand for refurbished products, there has also been a growth in recommerce in the UK. According to a ebay's Recommerce Report, two thirds of UK sellers have started selling pre-owned goods through the platform. Gen Z are leading the way with 81% of 16-24 year olds buying pre-owned more regularly in the last year.
