Gomi has done something brilliant. They’ve created a product using materials that would otherwise end up at a recycling centre or landfill. Based in the UK, Gomi has come up with a lovely looking Bluetooth enabled portable speaker that’s made from recycled waste plastic bags and powered by re-purposed ebike batteries (courtesy of Lime).
The same care and effort has also gone in to the speaker’s audio performance. Using premium components and a rigorous testing process, Gomi promises a ‘premium sound’ to compete with top brands such as Beats. One noteworthy feature is a pairing function so you can have 2 speakers synced at the same time.
The speakers are made in the UK and will be available in 4 colours – Blue Ocean, Black & White, Lime Green and White Marble. Kickstarter campaign is live now and anticipated shipping date is November 2021.
